RIP - Drummer Style Scott Murdered

Reggae fans and musicians all over the world mourn a tragic loss. Lincoln Valentine Scott better known as Style Scott was killed in Manchester, Jamaica last thursday [October 9th]. Scott was an original member of the Roots Radics band and together with Adrian Sherwood he founded Dub Syndicate in 1982.
The official confirmation was posted by Dub Syndicate's Facebook page on October 11th:
Very very sad news - but it is true. Style Scott is dead. We do not have very precise information from Jamaica and we are not able to comment anything in the moment because we are totally shocked and we are in a vacuum of sadness and we are speachless...! R.I.P. - Style Scott
On October 12th, the Jamaica Observer reported:
Lincoln 'Style' Scott […] was killed at his Manchester home last Thursday evening. The Corporate Communication Unit reports that the 58-year-old Scott was found dead by police at his home in Williamsfield district just after 10:00 pm. […] read the full article @ JAMAICAOBSERVER.com
A new Dub Syndicate album was finished earlier this year and is scheduled for a release in February 2015. Style Scott produced the album and played drums and percussions. The album is called Hard Food (Label: Echo Beach) and features Bunny Wailer, U-Roy, Lee Srcatch Perry & Sangie Davies.
