Reggae Grammy Nominees 2013 - The Facts!

First things first: the Grammy 2013 nominees have not been revealed yet. They will be published today (December 5th 2012). Same for the category Best Reggae Album.

But in the past weeks a large amount of articles and press releases reported about the Grammy Nominations of artists like Glen Washington, Konshens, Mr.Vegas, Vybz Kartel, Busy Signal and many more. Some articles called it Grammy nominations, some spoke about a short list and most mentioned a list of 50 releases...


As a matter of fact all these articles and press releases refer to the entry list for the Category #50 Best Reggae Album, which is nothing more than the list of entries, which were submitted.

Below you find the complete list of 53 album entries.

Category 50: BEST REGGAE ALBUM
For albums containing at least 51% playing time of new vocal or instrumental reggae recordings.
The eligibility year for submission is Oct. 1, 2011, to Sept. 30, 2012
