MOBO Awards 2022 Nomination for Koffee, Popcaan, Spice, Sean Paul, Shenseea & Skillibeng
11/11/2022 by Reggaeville
The 25th MOBO Awards 2022 nominations are in. There is only one change compared to last year's nominations: Koffee (instead of Lila Iké) is nominated along with Popcaan, Spice, Sean Paul, Shenseea & Skillibeng. Last year, Shenseea was chosen as the winner, marking a historic moment as she became the first woman to ever win the Best Reggae Act category. The record holder is Sean Paul with a total of 11 nominations in the Reggae/Caribbean category and 6 wins between 2002 and 2013.
As in the previous year, Skillibeng is also nominated in the category Best International Act.
But the biggest change and surprise is the renaming of the Best Reggae Act category, which this year is running as Best Caribbean Music Act.
The MOBO Awards, the UK’s biggest celebration of Black music and culture will take place on November 30 at London’s OVO Arena.
See below the nominations for Best Caribbean Music Act and Best International Act. Public voting for the Best International Act category has started @ MOBO.com. The winner in the Best Caribbean Music Act category will be determined by an independent specialist committee!
