Vybz Kartel & Shenseea get MOBO Awards 2025

Shenseea won the MOBO Award in the Best Caribbean Music Act category. This is her second MOBO Award, after winning in 2021. She beat out other nominees Skillibeng, Popcaan, Spice, and YG Marley and last year's winner Valiant

While Shenseea's win, as well as the results in 7 other categories, were announced in advance on social media in the afternoon, the highlight of the evening's award ceremony, which was streamed live on YouTube on February 18, was the appearance by Vybz Kartel and Spice.

MOBO Founder & CEO Kanya King CBE said: “The MOBO Awards have always been about recognising and celebrating cultural pioneers who have reshaped the landscape of music and beyond. Few people have contributed more to their field in this country. Vybz Kartel’s impact on music is immeasurable. His influence extends beyond the world of dancehall, in which he is a musical giant."

Spice
presented the MOBO Impact Award and Vybz Kartel accepted it personally on stage, accompanied by his son Likkle Vybz and his fiancée Sidem [WATCH IT HERE].

The MOBO Awards show, which took place in Newcastle for the first time, ended with a live performance by Spice [WATCH IT HERE], who then made way for Vybz Kartel, who rocked the hall with a 90-second medley [WATCH IT HERE].
