POSTPONED: London International Ska Festival 2020 ADD
04/09 - 04/12 2020
MESSAGE FROM THE PROMOTER:
The London intl Ska Festival 2020 & Corona Virus
Due to the current health situation The London Intl Ska Festival 2020 is being postponed to 28th, 29th & 30th August 2020. The health of festival goers, bands, DJs and staff must come first. All tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled dates, so please if at all possible do not request refunds. This will simply bankrupt and end the festival for good.
If you can’t make the rescheduled LISF2020 August dates, then your tickets can be transferred to The London Intl Ska Festival 2021 (1st-4th April 2021), The London International Soul Festival 2020 (15th-17th October 2020) or anyone of our other events and cruises which can be found at www.buytickets.at/hotshotscorcher If you can’t make any of the shows advertised we can issue you a credit note which you’ll be able to use at anytime.
We will now be condensing the planned 4 days of LISF into 3, due to venue availability, but the artist content will be just as high. The vast majority of the acts have already confirmed and we’re waiting on the rest. The new schedule is; The London Intl Ska Festival 2020 Day 1 - Friday 28th August 2020 (7.30pm-11.30pm) Onboard the Dixie Queen Thames cruise (Tower pier) starring The Pioneers, Jewels Vass (Pama Intl) & Tighten Up crew Day 2 - Saturday 29th Auguest 2020 (2pm-4am) * At the O2 Academy and O2 Academy2 Islington, London N1 Day 3 -& Sunday 30th August 2020 (2pm-2am) * O2 Academey and O2 Academy2 Islington, London N1. * We are still working on the programme but it will include reggae, ska & 2 Tone royalty; Big Youth, The Pioneers, Dennis Alcapone, Freddie Notes, Dave Barker, Susan Cadogan, Christopher Ellis & Roddy Radiation from The Specials. Plus the Do The Dog skazine all-dayer, club nights galore & everything and everyone else!
I’m sure you will all understand this move is totally out of my control, but is very much the right thing to do. As many of you know the festival is 100% independent and does not receive funding of any sort. It has struggled financially in recent years and in this current crisis we are asking people to please support the festival. As I said the refunding of tickets will lead to bankruptcy and the end of the festival. With regards to the Dub Boat Thames cruise and the 2 Tone Thames cruise, both scheduled for 11th April 2020, both of these cruises will be rescheduled.
We are just waiting to hear back from the artists involved, so please bear with us. Again, if at all possible do not request refunds, please try and make the rescheduled dates or take a credit note. Please support to ensure The London Intl Ska Festival continues! Thank you very much. Please direct any queries to mail@pamainternational.co.uk and I will reply as quickly as possible.
