Caterina Werner
Born (*1984) and raised in Bonn, Germany. After an exchange year in Indiana, USA she finished High School in 2005. Following she began an apprenticeship at the renowned photographer family Schafgans in Bonn (DGPh, German Society for Photography).
In Berlin 2007 she attended Technical University to start her studies of art and cultural science. In April 2009 publications followed in the taz (die tageszeitung; a daily national newspaper), taz online and Financial Times Germany. Since September 2009 she is a freelance photographer for the online music magazines nuflicks.de and since November 2010 for reggaeville.com.
In the summer of 2010 she was sent over to Jamaica on behalf of the Jamaican Embassy in Germany to cover the Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay. During this time she collaborated with VIBE magazine.
Her photographic focus is on (international) journalism and report. Therefore she travelled around many countries such as Egypt, Iran, Kenya, Morocco, Malaysia, New Zealand, Syria and Turkey (just an extract).
